Assembly Planning and Inspection

For mixed-technology boards, we plan the SMT and through-hole sequence around component requirements, soldering access, and mechanical constraints. Wave, selective, or manual soldering is selected according to the board and assembly requirements.

Inspection is planned for the component packages and solder joints involved. Methods may include SPI, AOI, X-ray inspection for hidden joints, and visual inspection.

Programming, ICT, and functional testing are included according to the agreed scope. Workmanship inspection and functional testing serve different purposes; the quotation identifies the inspections and tests included in the build.

Please submit a complete RFQ package containing:

• BOM with manufacturer names, full manufacturer part numbers, reference designators, quantities, and fitted / not-fitted status.

• Gerber and drill files, PCB specifications, and stack-up where applicable.

• Pick & Place / Centroid data, including board side and component rotation.

• Assembly drawings showing polarity, connector orientation, and special assembly requirements.

• Quantities to be quoted and target delivery schedule.

• Material supply model: turnkey, partial-turnkey, or consigned.

• Customer-supplied material list and any mandatory sourcing restrictions.

• Programming required: Yes / No.

• Functional testing required: Yes / No.

• Estimated testing time per board, if applicable.

Please identify all document revisions.

Please confirm whether firmware programming and functional testing are required. If required, describe the scope, estimated time per board, and whether programming tools or test fixtures will be customer-supplied or need to be quoted.

Firmware and software files are not required for the initial quotation. Files and detailed instructions needed for production can be provided after order confirmation and before production begins.

We begin quotation preparation once the required quotation information is complete and the manufacturing scope is confirmed.
