Leader Global Electronics is a Taiwan-based electronics manufacturing company providing PCB assembly in Taiwan for OEM customers, from prototype and New Product Introduction (NPI) through pilot builds and repeat production.
Our manufacturing capabilities include PCB fabrication, component sourcing, SMT & THT assembly, programming, inspection, functional testing, box build, and final assembly.
Engineering Review Before Quotation
Before quotation, our engineering team reviews the available project files, BOM, component sourcing conditions, assembly requirements, and whether programming or functional testing is required.
If functional testing is required, we also confirm the estimated test time per board to evaluate the related testing requirements and costs.
If an issue is identified that may affect sourcing, assembly, testing, or production, we discuss it with the customer before procurement or production whenever possible.
Production Preparation After Order
After receiving the order and before production begins, our engineering team prepares the necessary production work instructions (SOPs) based on the product and manufacturing requirements.
We confirm assembly methods, manufacturing requirements, document revisions, programming, testing, and other customer-specific production requirements to help ensure a smooth manufacturing process.
We also verify the revisions of the BOM, Gerber files, Pick & Place data, assembly drawings, and other applicable manufacturing documents to help prevent sourcing or production issues caused by mismatched file versions.
If IC programming or firmware loading is required, we ask the customer to provide the programming file or firmware, checksum, and applicable programming requirements so that the correct file and revision can be verified before production.
If functional testing is required, we further confirm the test procedure, test specifications, and pass/fail criteria. The applicable production and testing processes are then prepared according to the customer's requirements.
Once these requirements have been confirmed, the project can proceed to the applicable manufacturing processes, including SMT, THT assembly, programming, inspection, functional testing, box build, and final assembly.
How We Work
Every project starts with the available manufacturing information.
Depending on the project, our engineering review may include:
PCB manufacturability
PCB specifications and layer stack-up
BOM completeness and manufacturer part numbers
Component availability and lead time
Obsolete, EOL, or NRND components
Package and footprint compatibility
Component orientation and polarity
Assembly requirements
Programming requirements
ICT and functional testing requirements
Production documentation and revision status
This review is particularly important for prototype, NPI, pilot production, and projects involving engineering changes or new components.
Manufacturing Support
We support different manufacturing requirements according to the product, production stage, and customer sourcing strategy.
Our capabilities include:
PCB fabrication
Component sourcing and BOM management
SMT assembly
Through-hole / THT assembly
Mixed SMT & THT assembly
SPI, AOI, and X-Ray inspection
IC / MCU programming and firmware loading
ICT and functional testing
Box build and system integration
Cable and wire harness assembly
Final assembly
Prototype and NPI builds
Pilot and repeat production
Turnkey, partial-turnkey, and consigned manufacturing programs are available depending on customer requirements.
Engineering & Production Support
For component-related issues, we can review availability, lifecycle status, package and footprint compatibility, and potential alternatives.
For products requiring programming or functional testing, we can review available firmware, test procedures, fixtures, test equipment, and pass/fail requirements before production.
For new products or engineering revisions, prototype and pilot builds can be used to verify manufacturing processes before moving into repeat production.
Quality & Manufacturing Control
Inspection and testing requirements are defined according to the PCB design, component packages, product requirements, and customer specifications.
Depending on the project, manufacturing control may include:
Incoming material verification
First Article Inspection (FAI)
Solder Paste Inspection (SPI)
Automated Optical Inspection (AOI)
X-Ray inspection
In-Circuit Testing (ICT)
Functional Testing (FCT)
Visual inspection
ESD / MSD control
Final quality verification
Our quality management systems include:
ISO 9001
ISO 14001
ISO 13485
PCB assembly workmanship is controlled according to applicable IPC-A-610 requirements and customer specifications.
From Prototype to Production
We support OEM customers through different stages of product development and manufacturing.
Prototype & Engineering Builds
Small-quantity builds for design verification, firmware development, functional testing, and manufacturing evaluation.
New Product Introduction (NPI)
Engineering and manufacturing coordination for products moving from prototype into controlled production.
Pilot Production
Production builds used to verify assembly processes, programming, testing, documentation, and material readiness.
Repeat Production
Ongoing manufacturing based on the approved BOM, PCB revision, manufacturing documentation, testing requirements, and production schedule.
For existing products, we can also support second-source qualification and manufacturing transfer projects.
Customer Documentation & Confidentiality
Customer designs, manufacturing files, firmware, technical documentation, and other project information are treated as confidential and used only for project evaluation and manufacturing support.
